Now that    the dust appears to be finally settlingon    Galaxy Note 7 scandals, and as we continue to wait for    Google’s greatest mainstream high-end handheld contenders, it’s perhaps vital to remember and emphasize the inherent flaws of theiPhone 7 and 7 Plus.
No mobile device is perfect, and while our own Juan Carlos Bagnell praised the water resistance, improved camera and overall user experience of at least the smaller model,    its review score was weighed down to an 8.7due to an arguably conservative design, as well as mediocre headphone performance and battery life.
Of course, our endurance tests are hardly scientific, and out in the real world, different users can get different results performing different tasks. At the end of the day however, it’s quite a stretch to imagine the iPhone could outlast some of its Android-powered challengers.
Specifically, theSamsung Galaxy S7,LG G5 andHTC 10, all of which ran much longer between charges in unbiased, rigorous, controlled-environment autonomy inspections carried out by Which?, aka the British Consumers’ Association, a registered charity and company limited by guarantee dedicated to promoting informed consumer choice.
Which? actually awarded the underdog HTC 10 top honors in its battery life competition, with the GS7 and G5 practically tied in second place, and the iPhone 7 finishing dead-last, after a cringe-worthy 712 minutes of uninterrupted 3G call time activity, and slightly better but still sub-par 615 minutes of 3G internet use endurance. No big surprise, really, given the huge gap incell capacity. Obviously though,    there are always other thingstoalso consider.
